PRACSIS invites you to the Village d’Europe this upcoming Sunday to celebrate the Fête de l’Iris
Once a year Brussels dons its gala dress in celebration of ‘Fête de l’Iris”, an event celebrating the creation of the Brussels Capital Region. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the event, making it even more special. A birthday party atmosphere will be felt the whole weekend in the capital of Europe, with many activities scheduled: concerts, open air exhibitions, street shows, theatre and other activities for the youngest.
PRACSIS will organise the presence of the Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission. A ‘Village of Europe’ will be set up at Europe’s Square, right in front of the Brussels central train station. Different EU institutions will be represented under a single logo, the European flag. The purpose? To explain the concrete benefits of EU policies to the citizenry.
PRACSIS has planned a series of amusing activities for the general public. A tent with high quality food for tasting and animations such as quizzes, a wheel of fortune and face painting. Besides taking care of all the logistical aspects of the event, PRACSIS will brand the event and recruit a multilingual moderator as well as a face painting artist.
No plans for the weekend? Well there you go! With or without children don’t forget to pass by the Village d’Europe!
