Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign / EU Sustainable Energy Week
Aim of the project
Sustainable Energy Europe (SEE) is a pan-European campaign launched in 2005 by the Directorate General for Energy of the European Commission. Currently in its third phase (2012-2015), it is centred on the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), the largest event on sustainable energy in Europe.
EUSEW 2014 took place in June and gathered over 1000 events in Brussels, across Europe and beyond. This flagship initiative raises awareness among public and private bodies and the general public about the economic and environmental benefits of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and low carbon transport. It acts as a catalyst for the continued development, promotion and market uptake of sustainable energy technologies, in support of the EU 2020 energy and climate objectives
