Back by popular demand: cardboard stands take over the European Parliament
After their debut at the CoR’s 30th anniversary celebration, our recyclable cardboard stands made a comeback—this time in the prestigious setting of the European Parliament’s Yehudi Menuhin Hall.
To mark the start of the Committee of the Regions’ new political mandate in February, we installed a total of 16 custom-built cardboard stands. Six of them were dedicated to the CoR’s political groups, while the remaining ones featured thematic content about the Committee’s work.
Getting all 16 bulky-but-lightweight structures through Parliament security was a logistical adventure in itself—let’s just say cardboard may be eco-friendly, but it doesn’t come with a diplomatic badge. Still, with some creative maneuvering everything came together right on time.
Once inside, the stands did what they were designed to do: make a strong visual impact with a light environmental footprint. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to rethink how events can be both engaging and sustainable—with a little help from some well-folded cardboard.
